Overview

Grenache originated in northern Spain and became central to Rhone varietals. In warmer regions such as South Africa, it develops a rich, succulent fruit profile with earthy undertones while retaining elegance and freshness.

Vineyards & Harvest

A trellised vineyard planted in 2008 on a northern slope. Grapes were hand harvested and sorted before vinification.

Winemaking

The fruit was destemmed and fermented on skins, then aged in 50% second fill and 50% third fill barrels. Only the best seven barrels were selected and blended for the final release. Total production was limited to 2,800 bottles.

Ageing Potential

Enjoyable now, with additional bottle ageing potential of three to five years.

Suitable for vegetarians but not for vegans.
