Part of the Aybrook & Mason Cape Series, this Bushvine Pinotage showcases the depth and character of South Africa's signature red grape. Selected for structure, richness, and balance, it represents a classic Cape expression with modern refinement.

Technical Details

Vineyards & Harvest

The grapes are sourced from selected bush vine vineyards in the Helderberg area of Stellenbosch. The region's warm days and cool nights help develop concentrated fruit and balanced acidity. The fruit is hand harvested, with only the best bunches selected in the vineyards to ensure quality and consistency.

Winemaking

Whole bunches are crushed and fermented in open fermenters using natural yeast. After fermentation, the wine is matured for 16 months in French oak barrels. A final selection of barrels is blended to achieve the desired complexity, structure, and balance.

Ageing Potential

Ready to enjoy now, with the potential to mature gracefully for up to seven years.
